Greenfield Leisure Launches Revolutionary Recycled Products
We are proud to launch JREX, a revolutionary ‘plastic wood’ product, which is made from recycled wood and plastic waste including plastic bottles and pallets. JREX offers a highly durable, low maintenance and flexible material for decking, fencing, furniture and playground equipment which does not rot, crack or splinter.
Through using JREX to build new playground attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland, thousands of tons of consumer waste was recycled. This is an ideal product for those organisations or individuals looking to support sustainable development.
Childhood Obesity In England Has Doubled in 10 Years.
According to the Health and Social Care Information Centre survey in 2006, one in four children is obese. From 1995 to 2004, obesity among boys aged 11-15 years old rose from 14% to 24% and girls from 15% to 26%. The rate rose slightly in the two to ten age group.
The survey also showed adult obesity is continuing to rise from 13% to 24% for men and 16% to 24% for women.
The overall cost of obesity to the NHS is currently around £1bn, with a further £2.3bn to £2.6bn for the economy as a whole.
